Dream Big, Dream Global

Updated: Mar 25

When we first started our business, we created a list of ‘dream clients’ – brands we would absolutely LOVE to partner with to create unforgettable live events.

Top of that list was Global Citizen.

Fast forward eight years, and our dream (finally!) came true – Usual Suspects can now call Global Citizen a client, bringing them back home to Melbourne to co-create the inaugural Global Citizen NOW: Melbourne summit.

MAKING MEMORIES IN MELBOURNE

Over two inspiring days at the iconic Centrepiece in Melbourne Park, artists, activists, entrepreneurs, and influential figures took to the stage to drive action to end global poverty. The diverse range of panellists included climate advocate Brianna Fruean, Sarah Ferguson, Duchess of York, Australia’s favourite TV host and climate activist Osher Günsberg, Prime Minister of Timor Leste, Xanana Guzmaõ, musicians Neil Finn, Ziggy Ramo and Nooky, and sports legends Craig Foster AM, Moana Hope and Ellia Green plus so many more – in fact we featured over 60 speakers both on-stage and virtually across the two day summit.

FROM CONCEPTION TO EXECUTION

We partnered with Global Citizen to bring this electric event to life: devising a program that created discussion and debate around key issues including battling the climate crisis, advocating for women’s equity, strengthening health systems and fostering youth-driven entrepreneurship.

Our stage set allowed the speakers upon it to shine and we created the amazing ‘Action Village’ space for summit guests to network, collaborate and create new ways to tackle humanity's most pressing issues.

DRIVING MEANINGFUL CHANGE

Global Citizen embodies our values as a brand: meaningful, powerful and a driving force for real change and we were so proud to partner with them on what Co-Founder Simon Moss described as, “the most creative and emotionally honest summit I've ever run”.

Then we got to sit back and enjoy the finale – a concert in Global Citizen style featuring the incredible Global Citizen Youth Leaders, with music from Go-Jo, Sampa the Great, Nooky and Crowded House. Absolutely epic!

We’re super proud of this one and can’t wait to bring it back!
